We live in an era where nature is reduced to images on screens, scrolling before our eyes without leaving a trace. We glance at a tree, a sunset, or the ocean, yet often view them as distant backdrops, forgetting that they are vibrant worlds inhabited by countless forms of life engaged in dialogue with one another. These existences make our lives possible: trees and oceans provide oxygen, while the earth and animals sustain us.
My works emerge from the need to reposition human beings and restore their awareness of belonging to a network of relationships. We are not mere spectators, removed from this balance; we are active participants among other beings, bodies interconnected with different bodies. As anthropologist Anna L. Tsing argues, every landscape is a polyphonic assemblage uniting humans and non-humans- plants, animals, fungi, and microorganisms- all interconnected in a continuous dialogue that shapes the environment.
My installations and performances invite an immersive experience, encouraging the audience to move, touch, listen, and reconnect. Every interaction becomes an act of transformation, an opportunity to rediscover the beauty of interdependence and the responsibility that comes with it. Each created space serves as a place of encounter, inviting us to rediscover, through our bodies and senses, the deep bond that connects us to nature.
Only through experience can we overcome the separation imposed upon us and regain a sense of belonging to this vast living organism, where every gesture - no matter how small - contributes to a broader and precious balance.
Fabric is the medium through which I convey this vision. Like skin, it is alive, mutable, and responsive to touch. Dyed with natural pigments, it absorbs and reflects nature's energy, reacting to the elements and transforming over time. Fabric is the thread that reconnects humans to living matter, turning observation into direct experience. Only in this way can we rediscover our roots and role in the world, recognizing our place within the network of relationships binding us to all life forms.
